In modern societies, data runs everything. From the moment you wake up to the time you go to bed, data is being collected, analyzed, and used to personalize your experiences, optimize services, and drive innovation.
Without data professionals, smartphone applications, hospitals, and even public transportation wouldn’t work the way they do today. But even if you’re not aiming for a career in the world of data, knowledge about its concepts is important for becoming a more informed and empowered citizen in our increasingly data-driven society.
After completing the Data Skills Program, you will have the fundamental skills to understand, analyze, and utilize data effectively, regardless of your background or career goals. These skills are becoming increasingly valuable in today’s job market, opening doors to a wide range of opportunities in various industries.
DATA SKILLS Study Program
The Data Skills Program presents you with two study paths, both packed full of contemporary data knowledge and skills. You can choose to focus on Data Engineering or Data Analytics and choose your study path accordingly.
Both study paths consist of six courses, four of which are shared between the two:

You also have the opportunity to complete both study paths, in which case you won’t have to retake the first four courses. If you wish to complete both study paths, you should begin with the Data Engineering Essentials. The scope of your Data Skills studies, namely one or two paths, will be reflected in the study credits (ECTS) you earn.
The total scope of the Data Skills Study Program, eight courses, is 12 European Study Credits (ECTS). One study credit equals around 27 hours of independent study, and you can complete the courses at your own pace on the Edukamu study platform.

Study Program Goals
Upon completion of the Data Skills Study Program, you will be well-prepared to further enhance your understanding of data’s crucial role in modern society. This program will also equip you to confidently tackle Microsoft’s official data-related certification exams, such as AZ-900, DP-900, and AI-900. Additionally, you’ll receive shareable badges upon finishing each study path as well as the whole program (a maximum of three badges in total), allowing you to showcase your newly acquired skills.

REQUIREMENTS
In this study program, the most important asset is your attitude. You might already have some data knowledge or be a total beginner – both are totally fine! You should, however, have basic IT and programming knowledge. Basic knowledge on programming may come in handy.
The courses are completed on Edukamu, a web-based study platform that works on all modern computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. No additional downloads are required, and all you need is a quick signup with your email.
